We confess
that we are rooted on the earth
and that our glimpses of your glory
are quickly clouded
by our own anxieties and preoccupations
When we are unable to look to the skies
help us to be aware of your gentle reaching out
to know that, even in the great sweep of eternity,
we are precious in your sight
and, whether we glimpse you or not,
you walk through this world with us
for evermore
